Barapan Kebo (buffalo race) is a cultural attraction mostly by the people of Samawa Tribe.This event is usually conducted during the beginning of rice planting season and after harvesting period.The buffalos that will follow the race will be chosen among the healthy,strong and trained.Prior to the race,the buffalos will be decorated and before they enter the arena there will be a ritual procession by a soothsyaer.Another race in West Sumbawa is chicken race,pigeon race,and tradition sampan race mostly conducted in Lebo Lake.
