What began as a travel agency named National Travel Bureau is now the Natrabu Restaurant,thanks to Haji Rohimi sutan,who founded it in 1958.There are now eight Natrabu eateries,in addition to two in Malaysia.What makes Natrabu different from other Minang or Padang food restaurant is its ability to cater to just about everybody.
Natrabu uses high quality materials such as wagyu beef from australia to make rendang,an all-time favorite dish even to foreigners.The other favorite dish includes Dendeng Mahathir, named after the former prime minister of malaysia,who always orders it whenever he drops in at Natrabu.Also,try the gulai ayam with its spicy and thick yellow sauce,and gulai daun singkong cooked in coconut milk.The main Restaurant,adorned with Minang songkets cloths and embroideries,is able to handle a wedding party of 500 guest.It also has two meeting rooms that can accommodate 25 and 60 persons.
