JELENGA BEACH

The event centralized at Jelenga beach was conducted under the theme of Jelenga 2008 Beach Festival,with consisted of various event such as rip curl scar reef pro,volleyball competition and music parade.The participants that followed this surfing event consist of people from Australia,America,Bali,West Sumbawa and other international tourists.

This routine national tourism event is planned to be conducted again next year as a continuous of the event previously conducted during 2008.

MUCK DIVING

Indonesia has long known among the worldwide scuba diving community as having some of the richest coral reeft on Earth.But in recent years,divers have been attracted to new diving locations in Indonesia where there are no corals;in fact at first glance it appears there is just sand and rubble where these divers descend.so what is this new diving trend?

Muck Diving as it known,is all about slowing down and searching.Searching that is for incredibly well camouflaged fish,crustaceans,sea slug,octopus and cuttlefish.these creatures are not just well camouflaged either,many of them are very rare or even new species,still yet to be identified by marine scientists.
